How to choose a digital marketing company in Abu Dhabi

2 min read

WEB KATALYSTChoosing anagency in AbuDhabi

Abu Dhabi has many digital marketing companies, from freelancers to the local offices of international networks. They do not all do the same work, and the right one for you depends on what you need. This guide helps you compare them on facts.

Start with what you need

Before you contact anyone, write down three things: what you want to achieve (enquiries, online sales, bookings, awareness), who your customers are, and what you can maintain yourself after the project. An agency that is strong in advertising campaigns is not necessarily the one that should rebuild your website.

  • A website or an online store: look for a team that designs and builds, and that shows live sites you can visit.
  • Visibility on Google: look for search engine optimisation (SEO) work that is explained in plain language, with what is done each month.
  • Paid campaigns: look for clear reporting on what was spent and what it brought.
  • Social media: look for content that fits your brand, in the languages your customers use.

What to check

Work you can see

Ask for projects that are online today, and visit them on your phone. A portfolio made only of mock-ups tells you little. Ask what the agency did itself and what was done by a partner.

Who you will work with

Ask who your contact will be after the contract is signed, how often you will speak, and who does the work. In Abu Dhabi, also check that the team can work in the languages you need, English and Arabic in particular.

How results are reported

A serious company tells you what it will measure before it starts: enquiries, orders, cost per lead, positions on the searches that matter to you. Be careful with reports that only show impressions and likes.

What the contract says

Check who owns the website, the accounts and the content at the end of the contract, what the notice period is, and what is included in maintenance. Your domain name, your advertising accounts and your analytics should be in your company’s name.

Warning signs

  • A guaranteed first position on Google, or guaranteed sales. Nobody controls search engines or your market.
  • A price given before any question about your business.
  • No access to your own accounts, or vague answers about what is done each month.
  • A long commitment with no exit clause.

Questions to ask in the first meeting

  1. Which of your projects is closest to mine, and can I speak to that client?
  2. What will you need from my team, and how much of our time?
  3. What will I be able to update myself once the project is delivered?
  4. What happens if I am not satisfied after three months?
